SUBVERSIVE
Subversive has been a dj and part of Droidbehavior since the late 90s. In those times Techno was hard and acts like Surgeon, Jeff Mills, Adam Beyer and Regis were pumping out epic tracks. The Detroit, Birmingham and Berlin styles of that era all influenced Subversive and it can be heard in his dj sets. In the early stages Subversive mixed on three turntables when he had the opportunity. Fast paced mixing, effects and turntable tricks could typically be heard during his sets. Today, Subversive’s mixing has matured into a well developed sound that attempts to bridge the past with the present. He uses software along with hardware synths and turntables in order to create a more unique sound that reflects the future of what Techno can be. Subversive has had the privilege to mix along side some of his respected contemporaries like DJ Bone, Regis, Todd Sines, Surgeon, John Tejada and Fanon Flowers.
As far as Droidbehavior is concerned, Subversive has been involved with the group since its conception. Having met Acid Circus in college and Drumcell at parties in the 90s, Subversive contributes in any way he can to help Droidbehavior propel to new heights.


DEAN PAUL
Dean Paul has always been an avid fan of the electronic music genre. He has played for some of the largest nightclubs/ underground venues, desert raves, boat parties and jam-packed the dance floors in the City of Angels as well as the Bay Area. Born May 23, 1981 in Los Angeles California, he had his first exposure to Techno during the early 1990’s. Many consider this to be the golden age of Techno and definitely a great time to be introduced to this music. This influenced his deep minimal sets have earned him respect and admiration among the underground Techno community in Los Angeles.
Currently working with Droid Behavior, Dean Paul has played with the likes of: Prototype 909, Jpls, Derek Palaskitko, Jimmy Edgar, Modeselektor, Ellen Allien, Richard Devine, Hyperactive, Surgeon, Ambivalent, Tim Xavier, Robert Hood, Octave One, Alexi Delano, Tony Rohr, and Dj Pierre. He incorporates all elements of electronic music into his sets to create an atmosphere of enjoyable beats that are always in sync with the time of the show, the crowd and location. From deep techno, to acid, tribal and minimal techno, Dean Paul continues to broaden his audio spectrum. He presses hard to work with only the latest technology which has enabled him to mix and record live sets. With his vision of continual growth, he is currently developing visual effects to be projected simultaneously as he spins.

On tonight's show we had LA's undergrounds very own Petro One.

(please excuse my voice I was sick)

Inspired by drums and tribal beats PETRO felt a calling to become what he had admired for so long. Today, after a lot of dedicated work and 14 years perfecting his craft, PETRO ONE has long graduated from the dance floor to the Dj booth.
In 1989 "PETRO ONE" was a name that was bestowed onto him, it's meaning, a testament to his love for music and the people with whom he shared it with like a family. Today when ever he stands behind the decks, those on the dance floor know that PETRO ONE isn't just a name, it's a title he earned.
Every time he plays, wether in a packed out club or just for his friends PETRO always plays keeping what he cherishes most in mind. His family. PETRO ONE plays with a sense of energy that extends itself past the walls of the night club and is still felt well after the last record was played . This comes from the obligation he feels to contribute and give back to that which has given to him, so much. And inspired him not just to participate, but to give back to the scene by promoting his own parties & providing sound and lighting for many first class events.
ECOSYSTEMS is the name of his SOUND, LIGHTING & PRODUCTION company. Bulletproof, Spirits of Love, Spinal Tap, Shrooms are some of the legendary one off's that PETRO has thrown , dating back to 1992. Not to mention his highly respected after hours party called "IMAGINATION" which ran bi - monthly from 1996-1998. (named most influential event/party by XLR8R magazine in 1996) PETRO ONE quickly earned a loyal following which resulted in residencies at both EVOLUTION & L.A.'s longest running Saturday night underground after hours club called "INSOMNIA" and his newest residencie at the Bassment after hours .
He has had the privilege to opening slots for such major musical influences as Steve Lawler, Nick Warren, Sandra Collins, Barry Jamieson (aka Evolution)on Fluid recordings,Taylor, Kazell , Troy Roberts, Mark Lewis, Angel Alanis, Chris Cowie, Kasey Taylor, and Frankie Bones. His passion continues to resonate within his increasing performances throughout the L.A. area , and these benefits are felt most directly by those lucky souls driven to the dance floor.
